Woodie
Two weeks ago I placed a home made hide near this nest. They use this nest every year. A black bottle served as a (Nikon) lens.

Today I sat in the hide for the first time. It worked out fine. This male came to the nest right away without looking at the hide once. He was not even bothered by the shutter sound but had a little peak when he hurt the shutter for the first time. Chicks are not big enough to have a peak outside.

iso 320 1/30 sec. F6.3 (F6.3 to get a bit more detail in the Oak leaves) full frame on 200 mm.

Nice nest shot Edwin.
A little tight in the frame for me personally but excellent quality.

Excellent! I like the eye contact. It is indeed nice to be able to make out those oak leaves.

Nice shot Edwin, I particularly like the way the oak leaves frame the bird. :toast:

That's excellent Edwin. I like the leaves behind the bird especially. Looking forward to more when the chicks appear.
