Oregon Waterfalls and wildflowers

I'm going to Oregon on Sunday, June 7 and planning on
being there about a week. I'm going to go to Silver
Falls State Park and Proxy Falls. Are those best shot
in the morning or evening? Are there any other waterfalls
that you would recommend in central Oregon? In addition,
where in the state would you suggest going for wildflowers?
And finally, does John Day have good lighting at this time
of the year?

If any of you are at the above-mentioned sites during
my time there, I would be glad to join up with you. I
drive a white Honda Pilot SUV with California plates.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions that you can give me.

Everything at Silver Falls State Park faces between North-Northeast and West-Northwest, so it doesn't matter morning or evening, you just want to avoid mid day. Highway 242 is closed to all traffic (foot included) at White Branch, so Proxy Falls isn't accessible (not supposed to be open until August or September). Go take a look at Sahalie and Koosah Falls on the McKenzie River instead, they're nearby, and if you're gonna do the Santiam Loop, head up the Little North Santiam valley too and check out Henline Falls and Sullivan Creek Falls as well.

If you're around Crater Lake (north side) at all, Tokatee Falls, Watson Falls, and Salt Creek Falls are some of the most impressive waterfalls in Oregon, and are all around Highways 58 out of Eugene, and 138 out of La Pine. Both link up at Hwy 97 which is the major N/S highway leading to Bend and Klamath Falls. Tumalo Falls is also supposed to be awesome, but is up by Bend. Salt Creek is probably best photographed in the morning, and Tokatee in the evening, although it's well shaded.

Thanks Bryan and Chris for the help. I'll certainly try to go to some
of these sites. They sound great.

Tokette Falls trail was still closed last month. You should check before going.

It's one of Oregon's best falls.

I second the recommendations above for the waterfalls on the McKenzie and North Umpqua Rivers. At Sahalie Falls, there's a viewpoint from below, and another at the top. From the top viewpoint you can hike a little upstream for more options on shooting the river and smaller cascades.

Tumalo Falls in Bend is easy to get to. Very late afternoon it will be in shade; early morning gets direct sun.

John Day Fossil Beds has good light at any time of year. At the Painted Hills area it can work from mid-morning to almost sunset. If you're going out that way, you might try Smith Rock State Park at sunrise.
