Hi can anyone give me advice on how to mount photographs.
I have purchased some mounts, but to be honest i dont have a clue how to do it correctly.
Do you just tape the photo to the mount, or do you need backing card as well ??

Hi Mark,
I tape my photographs on the mount only on the upper side and put it together with a
backing card in a frame. So the paper of the photo can move free and you avoid ripples.
Hope this helps.

Mark, Just seen this post. I use magic tape or a similar acid-free masking tape and tape across the top of the photograph only. I also use a mountboard backing which I glue only to the mount (not the photo) with a spray mount (one which allows initial repositioning is useful but its a case of finding one that will stick securely when it bonds).
