I got down the farm early on saturday morning intending to watch an area where the partridges take their dust baths, but as Andy will confirm, I am a hopeless fidget and I could not get myself sorted out. The tripod was being particularly difficult and I was pratting about for ages trying to get it just right, and then I noticed a movement out of the corner of my eye. This little fellow had never seen anything like it and I managed a couple of shots before he wandered off to tell the rest of the family about the plonker hiding by the gate. The light was still a bit dull and his coat was more grey than the adult's, so I resisted the urge to saturate the colours at all.

This is a little bit more than 60% of the original. He must have been smaller than I first thought because I later got a shot of an adult from further away which filled the frame pretty well. I'll post that one tomorrow.
C&C very welcome, but I really only posted it because he was so cute. Eric
I like this Eric, nice pose looking right at you - I might if it were mine chop an inch of the bottom as the OOF dirt does not add to the overall composition. Well seen and captured
