Another Little Ringed Plover

This is another picture of my encounter with the inquisitive Little Ringed Plover. The head-on pose of this one, gives the bird a really angry look. Cropped from landscape to portrait.
Nikon D80 @ 420 mm, iso 200, f8, 1/640 sec. (ground pod)

I don't normally go for head-on shots, but I like this one. He looks determined rather than angry to me, and I like the reflection as well.

I like this Sandra, looks almost like a bird of prey with a stare like that. I personally think it might work better cropping the reflection out but either way looks good

I'd echo Davids comments on this one Sandra, something a bit different.
Robert

Interesting expression, reminds me of the misses (bird of prey).
Nice one

Beautiful portrait, like this one better, great detail/colour/reflection and that 'angry' look, Brillant!!

Really very nice indeed and that look!

As you say the birds expression really makes this shot into something special. He really does look like he's "spoiling for a rumble"

Scott

Hello Sandra.

Nice one.

I get that look a lot

Hi Sandra.
I don't know if it's anger or determination but it makes for a very nice picture.
Keith.

Really like this, great shot. Low viewpoint is great and his expression really makes it.

Nice and different too !
JR

Excellent shot and what a look he is giving you.
Eric

He looks really moody! I wouldn't change a thing - lovely image.
