I went south late in the afternoon yesterday. the storms were busy building from the foothills to the east. They were putting on their usual excellent show. This is one of the views I had.
Very nice! I love the colors. Because of all the rain lately the greens this year have been outstanding. You've done a nice job of putting them in context.
Great minds think alike! Excellent shot, Morris. Of course, yours is more imposing and scary, but this is the first thing I thought of when I saw your shot.
Thanks everyone. Todd, thanks for even thinking my shot could compare to Dave's work. Praire Thunder is easily one of the best books published on Colorado. I was just hungering for anything that resembled wide open spaces. My shot still has a house in it, just below the darkest cloud. It was not very far from home, and it was where the storm was when I found it. Caz, the greens are outstanding right now, aren't they. As green a spring as I can remember.
Awesome shot. Nicely composed with the leading line from the darker clouds drawing you into the falling rain. Nicely done! You can almost smell the rain in this one...
