My Take on the Flatirons
Here is a shot of the Flatirons that I took while out on a morning trip to Boulder a couple of weekends ago. I wasn't sure when the wildflowers would start blooming, but I had never been to this place, and was itchin' to get some sunrise shots somewhere, so I headed out there. There wasn't much blooming yet, but there were a few beginning to pop up. It was a quiet and enjoyable morning.

I like the semi-panoramic crop here, but it looks like you were a bit too early for flowers and a bit too late for sunrise.

I really like this comp. John is right though about the flowers and lighting. I think another trip is in order1

I too like this pano crop, and I don't mind the lighting - it is still warm and inviting!. You were a little early for the flowers, the yellow aster were peaking last weekend, but Lupines etc are now coming out!.

I 'm in agreement about the comp. Nice job. I bet this makes a good print.

Thanks for your comments, guys.
I guess I should clarify that this image was taken around 7 am. I do have others that I took earlier, around 6, but I liked the lighting better in this one, on the rocks and the grasses. The colors are warmer in the original image than the one posted here. Maybe I oversharpened it for the web.
I have posted an image that was taken earlier, around 6, over on ESS.
