Was wondering if anyone had any current reports on the state of wildflowers at Roxborough State Park?
Despite the limited opening hours, I've read of some very nice spring shooting opportunities there in years past, but have never made it down there yet...
Ok so I went down there when it opened at 7:00AM and its starting to look pretty good! Unfortunately the overcast skies didn't clear until around 9:00AM. But here is what I observed:
A few wild iris, small patches of golden banner, patches of penstemon, areas of lupine starting to bloom(perhaps a week or so if not longer) and huge areas of tiny yellow flowers(perhaps mountain tansy mustard?)... The shot is just southwest of the Historic building and I'll try and get the rest of my images up on my website later today.
Umm I would have to say... next weekend. But its hard to tell. I'll be heading there again for the sunrise opening on the 27th of June (it opens at 5:00am).

So the question is: this weekend or next?
