I couldn't resist shooting this in landscape because of the wing diagonal - so apologies on that front if the composition isn't "your cup of tea"
I did shoot it in a more conventional portrait format too
Something odd is happening on this particular site - all that's showing is Male Four-spotted Chasers and Female Black-tails, so I hope their mates appear soon otherwise there might be problems

Nice work Andy, nothing wrong with that comp from my POV as you know from my recent postings.. I actually prefer this rotation for this subject and angle so nice to see others following suit..
Now your making me work harder Mr Astbury. Not familiar with the word Teneral had to google it.!!!! How do you know when its soft or hard?
Nice clean image and as Brett has said nothing wrong with the comp IMO.
A good, strong detailed image. I'm undecided whether I'd prefer the composition with the excess space on the other side though. A good image, either way.

Major.
I can't believe I said that
Seriously - wings and overall pale and wishy-washy colour. Dragons don't park their wings like this when they've fully "cooked-off".
A certain reticence to take to the air is another give-away
Nicely behaved dragon, I need to study this at home before I make further comment.

Great image bud the comps fine.... the execution ,to one unintiated ,superb.
