More non-icons of Moab
In continuing my theme of recent posts, here are some images from my trip to try and uncover some non-iconic images of Moab. This area is in Arches National Park, and I was completely shocked by the number of possibilities out there for different compositions. Since I was unfamiliar with the area I had to try and compose on the fly -- in the future I think I can get better images.

I don't know if I like this one, or #1...

I applaud you for trying different comps than the usual shots. I like #2 more that #1. It as less of the foreground rock, and better light on the clouds. #3 and #4 are nice, too.

Thanks, Morris -- I see what you mean about the first 2 and I think you have something. Just a case of staring at similar images for too long on my part :jump:

It is an amazing place for sure Paul! Wide ange to macro detail shots abound. I could spend weeks there even though the rangers say you can see it all in a 2 hour drive... ha ha ha!

Looks like a beautiful place. I especially like #'s 3 and 4, and of the first two, I like the second one better, for reasons mentioned by Morris.

I'd vote for #2 and #4. I especially like the sky in #2.

Kudos indeed! Those little wisps of red in the clouds in the first two are the icing on the cake.
