Great expression Dan! Do these guys always wear nose clips?

Looks like he's having some difficulty with whatever trick he's trying to learn, you caught him in an interesting posture.
Dan: If you want to get more dynamic stuff come up to Salida where the hole there allows for big air type moves like loops and airwheels. Golden's features, although they were the 1st in the state to build them, are not even close to the quality of Salida's, whose upper hole has been tagged as the best hole in the U.S. by some of the best professional playboaters in the world. I'll be up there next week between Thurs and Sun. assuming the water level is around
1400cfs to 1900cfs which is the best level for big air. FIBark Whitewater Festival will be June 18-21st in Salida if you want to catch the pros in action.

Bill: Not all kayakers wear nose clips, but I would guess about 90% of playboating kayakers do to ensure their sinuses continue to function at least at a 75% efficiency rating during the kayaking season. Being upside down in an aerated, violent hole brings a whole new meaning to the term sinus lavage if you aren't wearing nose clips. The nose clips are not perfect as water still gets past but to a limited degree. Sinus infections are a common side effect for playboaters, river water isn't as clean and clear as it looks.
