What is the status of the Avian Discussion Forum?

I'm so excited by the Avian Discussion Forum and wondered when we might see that forum implemented.

Me too. This forum is going to provide so many people, including myself, with so much information and learning opportunities. I can't wait.

I agree and think there is much potential for this new forum.

I think we can now proceed with this new forum. For those of you who are wondering the purpose of the new forum, it will be for the following;

1. Discussion of all bird photography related topics, such as gear, locations, techniques, etc.
2. Posting of photos for bird identification purposes or to illustrate technique
3. Posting of up to 3 photos (in a single thread) to illustrate bird behavior
4. Posting of up to 3 photos (in a single thread) as a "series"

We can tweak the posting guidelines for this new forum as we go, but the above is the essence of what it will be for. This will allow the current Avian Gallery to be wholely dedicated to bird photo critique.

I will plan on having the new Bird Photography forum ready to go in the next few days.

OK, the new Bird Photography Discussion Forum is now live! You will find a link to it in the Forum menu at the top of the page.
