Certainly a very colourful and eye-catching image, however in this instance I find the background just that bit too saturated and colourful and find it slightly over-powers the main subject.
A good pose from the sparrow though with an obliging head turn towards the camera.

I like the background, but I think that Justin has a point and it could do with toning down a little.

Hi Keith, this really stands out and is really different. I really like it but I suspect it might split opinion as Justin says. :toast:

The Spadger is superb ! but I worry about the background. But then i don't because that's how it was !! So- brilliant !

Very nice pose and picture, but I agree with Justin about toning down the saturation.

Wonderfully detailed image of a tree sparrow. When I first opened the image it was the background that overpowered the senses but after looking at it for a while it is the subject that stands out and the background becomes just that.

Although the BG is a little bright, the fact that the Spadge really pops against it makes the shot work IMO, fantastic detail in the bird too.

really like this, the background is great, i don't like the tail position though, wish it was stuck out to the left

I find the BG a little distracting & would agree about the tail. Otherwise a really nice image of the little blighters !

Hello Keith.

I find the Sparrow great and the pose and composition are very nice. Background is a little to bright for me. As as John said if thats how it was then its fine..
