Although I still haven't fully committed to digital photography yet (I brought my 5D but didn't actually shoot much with it), I was able to get my film processed and scanned shortly after the trip this time. (Thanks Nat! ) So here's one from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.
Shooting Mount Hayden from Point Imperial is supposed to be a morning activity but I really like this shot. The weather was dodgy at times but it was also occasionally spectacular.
As always, critique (positive, negative and neutral) is strongly encouraged.
Although this lacks 'dramatic' light, everything else looks great!
Real nice composition, and the interplay of light and shadows gives this plenty of depth.
Beautiful skies add the perfect touch.
My only nit is that it's a bit on the cool side. In PS, using AutoColor or the grey eyedropper on a neutral tone reveals this and adds a bit of warmth that really helps the overall image, IMO. Burning down the highlights a bit on the monolith in the foreground and on the bright spot on the wall just to its right would also be beneficial.
All in all, a solid 'B+'.
I sure look forward to seeing much more from your recent journey.
Wow Caz! You really do know how to take photos! Now you just need to practice the getting out of bed thing. This is a nice image, very well composed. I'd warm it up a bit and also go back and shoot it gain at sunrise.

Great work! I love it just as is.

As John pointed out, I think you do need to apply a little bit of color correction as the image is a bit cool.
Did you get any sunrise shots?
The North Rim is indeed a spectacular place. Hopefully I'll get out there in late July or early August.
