Melanistic Adder (Female)

Taken at the beginning of the season and perhaps just another record shot but thought she was worth sharing. Not a colour variant you see every day although they are reasonably common..

Have a nice day folks..

Very nice shot and lovely pose.

interesting shot, love the curl of the tail

A really nice image, never mind a record shot

Perhaps a little off the top and bottom would help to focus attention on the darker snake.

Simon

Lovely curl on the tail. I notice she is watching you closely! LOL

David

Lovely image Brett. I love the shape/look and the detail too.

Very nice, I love the dark colour of this female, not just a record shot for me brett, lovely portrait

I agree with a slight crop just to focus down a bit, but apart from that no complaints from me, looks really good - like the kink at the tip of her tail.

Drew

Very nice shot Brett, lovely looking snake too, beautiful colour and a very nice pose, did you find the snake on the log or was it placed there just for the shot ??

Andy...

Hi Brett, agree with all, really nice shot.

Scott

Hello Brett.

Nice record shot, and I've not seen one this dark on Cannock Chase.

A very fine image.

Nice one Brett... she certainly is watching you and great to see the colour of this one... agree with the crop suggestions...
