NW CO & Red Desert
I traveled NW Colorado and into Wyoming's Red Desert last week. It was a whirlwind, 3 camps in 3 nights and a lot of bumpy, wet miles. Tuesday's heavy rain turned the roads to grease and the Red Desert still had giant mud holes 2 days later. I was still able to make it to the Vermillion Basin and into Adobe Town - here's a few images:

I had a tough time translating the enormity of the landscape and got immersed in the details at times, as with this stone pattern.

That's it for now...........

Whoa, that is some excellent stuff! That first one especially rocks my world. Looks like a really successful trip.

Nice, Dave! I really like the first shot, and the topography of the second is very interesting too.

What a cool trip you had, Dave! I like them all, but that last one intrigues me the most. Post some more!

I like the 1st one and the last one. Glad you didn't need a helicopter to pull you out of those muddy roads.

I really like the first one. It looks like some exotic tropical place. Thanks for sharing.

I like all of them, and probably the first the most. Nice collection.

Probably one of the best images from BP that I've ever seen. It's funny how we curse the weather (for good reason) but then it gives us scenes likes this.
All nice images.
