One from Capitol Reef+repost
I spent Mother's Day weekend in Capitol Reef NP. What a cool place. Too much to see in one long weekend. The large formation on the left in this shot is Pectol's Pyramid. I'm not overly happy with this shot, maybe because I've been staring at it for so long and I can see every little thing I wish I'd done differently. I used a 2 stop hard edge ND, but I also hand blended in another exposure since I didn't like the grad line. I'd like to hear any thoughts on the comp and blending. Thanks.

Love the shot, Paul. The blend works very well, looks completely natural.

Hi Paul! There seems to be quite a strong blue cast. How would it be if you warmed it up a bit?

Thanks guys. Erik, good catch. Even though I saved this in sRGB, it certainly looks bluer on NPN than in PS. I warmed up the re-post a bit. Let me know if it still looks off. Thanks!

I like the comp and light very much here. I would suggest a contrast increase in the sky, since all the clouds are gray, without any white. Thanks for posting.

I like the repost better, but the comp is excellent. It has all 5 layers Tim Fitzharris says need to be in a shot to have maximum depth. Really well done.

I like the processing on the second version... my only nit is that to me the comp looks just a tad "crooked"... maybe just a wee CW rotation? (Understanding that the whole area really is slanted!) Finally, maybe just a slight crop in the sky, so the upper clouds go out of the frame. Just my 2 cents

The repost is great and the transition is totally natural. Nice image.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Nat, I actually used a level on the camera when I shot this image and it still looks tilted to me. I decided to leave well enough alone. Thanks for the crop suggestion too. Momo, thanks for the sky suggestion.
