Teamed up with Phil Shaw last week and spent the week in the mountains in Colorado,We shot at 14000 feet and had every type of weather from sun to heavy snow, fog, gale force winds and incredible wind chill,The first day i had a bit of altitude sickness but soon aclimitised,The animals played hard to get but at the end of the week we had some great encounters,Here is an image i tried to upload whilst waiting for tornados to pass in the airport yesterday but the pc died
A cracking result and well worth the very hard work and strenuous effort involved in getting the image.
Love the viewpoint and the outstretched front leg puts the image up another level.
I enjoyed reading about your encounters a few day ago on your blog.
That's one wonderful image there. The way the wind is blowing across is really evident by the coat, the snow and even the gait (as I imagine it). I would feel very rewarded for my efforts if I came away with this.

What's the latin name for the mountain goat, this one must be Evilus Devilus?
Top quality, well executed image.

Cracking image and love the portrait format for this one works really well.
I think I would just clone out the bright spot above the top left rock. I think it needs to be there.

Love the viewpoint & exposure spot on!

I echo the above comments. Amazing shot & very well controlled.
Slight nic is the white blob above the rock, a bit distracting yet very minor.
