Lovely portrait of one of my favorite birds, great composition, on my screen its dark and the birds wing bars/primaries look a bit soft and also the nape(neck) feathers, very nice shot   :wavey:

Hello Mike.

It looks a lovely image but its a bit to dark on my monitor.

The whites on the bird look great, but the rest of the image needs to be brightened.
There are also two areas I would clone over and thats the white round spot just in front of the birds feet. And there is a water drop at the top middle of the image, that on its own does'nt work.

Would like to see this one again re-worked. ( as long as its just not my monitor )

Lovely shot, with loads of detail. It does look dark on my screen too, but easily sorted! Excellent comp too.

I agree about it being a little on the dark side but a very nice image all the same. :toast:

Good composition of bird and habitat. Nice one. (I brightened it in photoshop to appreciate it better).

Good comp and a smart bird. Must admit the wings do look a little odd though. :toast:

A fine shot Mike.:toast:

Looks a bit too dark to me too but my CRT monitor isn't as bright as it could/should be.

As every one else has said before me, and it looks to me like you have used too much noise reduction, as there are some very smooth areas, at the back of the birds neck, on the wings and the ground where it stands.
