Kestrel with prey
Of course it's nature but I've seen a lot of dead birds that day. On one hand I was so lucky to have some amazing moments but on the other hand a lot of chicks end up as food like this Black bird chick.

Hi Edwin:wavey:

Yet another cracking shot

Nature at its best especially as there are chicks to feed.

An excellent image again Edwin, but the setting is not quite as pleasing to the eye as your first post.

I dont know why anybody finds the sight of a dead chick or any other prey item to be unpleasant. I have never seen any comments to that effect when a songbird has a beakful of insects. Nature supplies a surplus of chicks so that predators don't go hungry. I can see that Vincent is of the same mindset as me.

The soft and pastel colors of this shot allmost make you forget about the harsh scene.
Great shot and it reminds me of a Kestrel i once shot with a Starling in it's claws. The prey is allmost as large as the Kestrel wich amazes me.
You have capture both well and caught the essence of the scene!

Greetings,
