Skylark doing a Grouse
Never usually see them sat on a wall, in fact this is usually Grouse territory (hence the title). Always gives a nice background this spot as well.

1D3 + 300mm + 2x TC, ISO:400 1/1250 sec @ f/7.1

Thanks for looking

I was expecting to see something quite depraved by the title

Not a view you see every day - nice crisp subject and a superb BG, the background must be in another county to get it that smooth with a 300.

The aspect ratio looks a bit high, if you've cropped it for comp at all where did you crop, as I think a bit more canvass on the right would be the icing on the cake.

Nice shot Simon :wavey:

Hi Andy

I usually try and crop as a 7 x 5 and wanted to get that sky in somehow. I also cropped at that point as there is a foreground capping stone on the wall which is oof and quite distracting as it comes into view.

Cheers, Simon
