Back from a week of playing and photographing golf courses in the Reno-Lake Tahoe-Truckee area and I took the opportunity one morning to get up at O-dark-thirty and get to one of California's iconic places, Emerald Bay, for first light.
I had hoped for a dramatic sunrise, but the best it got was the sun just peeking through the clouds for a few moments. Nevertheless, it was worth the effort.
