I went out to Triangle Lake Bog for a bit yesterday. It was on and off rain, so conditions were perfect (if you don't mind standing in the rain). The pitcher plants are blooming, though there seem to be fewer blooms this year. There are still blooms yet to open, so you have time to capture these unique flowers for a while longer.

Nice shot, Chuck. It's an interesting perspective; usually we see these looking down/up the middle of the flower. I like it and thanks for "braving" the elements for us.
Chuck, I like the subject here and the colors of this unusual plant. To me, there isn't enough of a focal point here to hold my attention. Both the plant and bloom are rather strange looking, and it takes a lot of creativity to create a special image of this subject.
I spent a miserable morning last year fighting off swarms of bugs, dripping sweat and standing in a good 3 inches of water over mud to get a decent pitcher plant shot. They grow in areas that make it difficult to shoot, but worth the effort. Well done.
