This is one from a couple of weeks ago when i was walking towards my Kingfisher site i heard a Bluethroat singing his lungs out. It was a foggy morning and at 04.30 hours still cold but the first light was coming through the clearing fog. When i saw this guy on top of the reed stem i did not even notice the smoke coming from it's beak but when i came home an saw it on the computer i was vey pleased with this shot.

I'd be pleased as well Jeroen. Very well captured and although taken with a long lens it almost looks as if it is a wide angle shot. Very nice indeed.

Thanks for the comments so far!
To Tim: They breed in the larger reed beds over here from mid April to somewhere end of July and are currently ready for their second nesting period (hence the courtship behaviour in this shot).

Ticks all the boxes for me and to see the 'birds breath' on the cold morning air takes it to another level!
