Ploughing through editing new material at the minute - this brown hare image was made during the UK's recent snow fall.

1Ds 3
500 mm + x1.4
1/125 @ f4
ISO 200
Bean-bag/car

C&C very welcome.

Great image Chris. I really like the use of space and the snowfall really adds another dimension. The only thing I would consider changing would be to possibly crop a bit off the bottom as I feel it isn't adding anything to the picture.
Cheers

I really like this. The blue tree behind the hare is great, with its relationship to the hare spot on. I like the bottom snow expanse, it balances nicely with the lighter area above the trees. I think the space around the hare really sets it off - more tightly cropping would suffocate it. Excellent!

Hi Chris,

Processing images today...birds of a feather it seems

Nice enviro shot of the Hare this - fascinating to see who was doing what when the snow came: only a shame it's looking slightly away but nothing you can do about that, and the comp works well.

Hope they like it!!

Brilliant, I love the atmosphere, I would crop more off the bottom but thats just me

I'd crop a bit of the bottom too Chis but otherwise a great shot :toast:

Thanks for the feedback - I've included a cropped version that features your suggestions. Having seen this version, I think I agree with John's comment about 'suffocating' the subject. Guess it comes down to personal taste.

Me too!!; the last lot got a very mixed response! There were quite a few Scandinavian predator images included, so maybe that was it? - this time I'm playing a little safe!

Cheers,
Chris
