Been sniffing about the Canon Website and found this: http://www.canon-europe.com/Support/Consumer_Products/products/cameras/Digital_SLR/EOS-1D_Mark_III.aspx?faqtcmuri=tcm:13-631109&page=1&type=important
It was updated March 09, so not sure if it a different recall to the previous one?? If it is a new one they have have'nt exactly made everyone aware of the recall
Yeah its old news here its not really a recall, just an offer of a free AF accuracy check and service, mine went in and back in 72hrs, front focusing issue fixed, software updated and sensor cleaned.
I suffered heavily from AI Servo problems but I also keep getting Err 99 when I switch on. Takes a while before I can start shooting properly. Bit of a pain really. Latest Firmware didn't solve anything or shed any light on the nature of the error either.
there is a recall for the error 99 problem i think, when the last recall notice was issue, one was for the AF and the other was for error 99, you should be able to book it in for both checks free of charge at a canon service centre, and i suspect the rush will be over now so it shouldnt be too long getting back to you.
