Has anyone been on Grand Mesa lately? I'm thinking of heading out there soon, but would like to see some wildflowers. Is this a late July spot for flowers? Would anything be happening up there in late June?

I can't say specifically for the Grand Mesa as I've never had the opportunity to visit there, but this time of year, flowers depend mostly on altitude. Up to 9500 the flowers will probably be at their best from now until late June. From 9500 to 10500 it gradually starts to thin out . Those flowers are at their best around early to mid July. Above 11,000 it tends to be covered with snow later in the summer and those flowers tend to come in around mid to late July and peak from the end of July to the beginning of August. It all depends on the particular area and there can be quite alot of variability, but its a rough estimate.

Most of the lakes on Grand Mesa appear to sit around 10,200, so my guess is that there will be some wildflowers, but they'll be better in the next couple weeks, going into early July.

Looks like the snow is gone from all the snotel sites but I'm sure it's still pretty wet and cold up on top. The top is pretty much a July setting regarding wildflowers.
The "flanks" look pretty nice from my chair here in the office though.

I'll be up there in a couple of weeks but that doesn't help you out much right now.
