A record shot
Oh if only I hadn't been full frame that day, this is a huge crop, but I like the action, I shall try again some day.

W  W Tim that is some 'record shot' - big crop or not this is special! As Frederic asked did he (looks like a male from the size) get the Fulmar?

Hi Tim,

My words on seeing this were holy **** !!!! This is a stunning record shot! Having been concentrating on my local Peregrines for the last 2 months, I know how fast this sort of action takes place. There are two shots I want to get and so far they have taken place well out of camera range, that's Peregrine in full stoop and moment of impact  Thank god for the delete button on digital camera's thats all I'll say !!

I really hope you get to see this magnificent Falcon hunting again and get an image of it :jump:

Well done, Tim

Regards

Rob

Wow nice shot Tim, i bet they were moving pretty rapid?

It's amazing to watch these birds in action, I had a good long morning of seeing them do their stuff. They're effortlessly fast, sad to say I didn't witness a kill, I have been back but it seems they're just picking up chicks to feed their own at the moment.
Glad you enjoyed the pic.

Cheers

Tim
One of a series for sure.

Like most photographers I love to watch raptors in action. This one is very much "in action". Well captured. :toast:

Stellar capture - as you say, pity about it not being a full framer :frown: I feel your pain - NOT!!

Your effigy is joining that of Mr.Coles on my little vodoo altar
