Truly a photographers paradise right in the local area in and around Whitney. This is another fine example of that range and the amazing formations & peaks in that general area. The non-shrouded lower level terrain detail is excellent too.
This is awesome! You had great light and overall conditions that morning. This is a great mtn. shot with the layers of mtns in the foreground almost like shark's teeth or something. I am sure this was a very enjoyable morning. Was it cold at all from your vantage point? Just curious.

Derek,
Sorry for not giving all the details. The lens was the 70-200 2.8 L IS w/ 2x tele on it. I took in April and it wasn't that cold. I was down in the Alabama Hills shooting this scene http://sieren.smugmug.com/gallery/1208028_w3p8z/1/561301599_3fLCr/Medium
I have been down there a couple of times where my fingers were having trouble but I usually bundle up enough so that doesn't happen. Once you get into the mountains that's a whole other story as you would know out in Colorado. Sure does get colder over there.

Oops, it's Mt. Williamson and from the looks of it does not easy at all to climb.
This is awesome!
