Taken on a very bright & very hot day while looking for Dragon Flies (no we didnt get any)
The Deer was a long way off & this is a large crop.
It stood where it was was for a few minutes before wandering off into the trees.

Very difficult lighting. It's a great shame it is standing in the shade. Had it been a few feet to the left it would have been highlighted which would have changed the image altogether. As it is this one doesn't really work for me. It's a shame because I like the inquisitive pose.

A nice result especially given the harsh lighting.
Well worth returning in the golden light of dawn or dusk or even on a bright, cloudy day.
The doe in such an attractive, colourful setting has got loads of potential in the right light.
Agree with Tim crop the top(Hold a card across the screen) and you will see the effect.
Nice try but big crops seldom produce the desired result only IMO.
Got to be worth another go with all those wildflowers on show. You might have to wait for awhile though.

The year of the buttercup, I'd crop off the top dark area, helps concentrate the eye on the deer.
