Barn Owl Enviro
The same owl as my last post, further down her favourite fence. Does this work for anybody?

420mm, 1/1250s, f4, iso 400

thanks for looking

I quite like it and think it works well. The fence makes a great lead-in line. Perhaps just a little too warm and saturated, which isn't really a critisism, more personal preference.

EDIT Colours look fine. It was my browser settings that were off.

Hi Billy,

Works for me all day long!! Great enviro shot, colours perhaps looka tad warm but it was sunrise/set, so guessing it would have a red hue.

Thanks for sharing

Hi Billy, I like it too, not sure if I would prefer a bit off the bottom and a bit more at the top but personal preference though. Cracking image :toast:

Thanks guys. I do my processing on an uncalibrated laptop, so theres always a good chance I might overdo something! Scott, I did get a couple with more at the top, but the light starts to poke through gaps in the trees, so the complete black background is lost.

Thanks again for the comments

I like the shot. The bird on a stick style shot is often boring. The environment type shots are the way to go IMHO. Have you tried this as a vertical ?

Thanks for sharing.

Billy -I like this but to me the fence seems to take over the shot. Maybe a vertical crop would make it less imposing.
Nice idea though.

Thanks again. I did get a couple of verticals, but in both of those there was either two much black or too much grass - the owl was 'overpowered' far more than in this one. I also liked the differing fence post sizes and to me the fence is the main subject, while the owl is a nice surprise when you reach the end
