I hope some of you guys in and around Denver saw the incredible lightning show last night. I ventured out into the storm to try my luck at capturing the skyline with lightning.... and as you can see I wasn't disappointed! Looks to be another stormy evening tonight! Photos taken at the Invesco Field parking lots.
Wow!!
These are all excellent! Glad you took the time and effort to use the city for a backdrop.
If I had to choose a favorite, it would be #1. The wide view of the city and the rain slick pavement with the reflections is just great! Are those vehicle lights we're seeing in the midground? Did you get wet?
Thanks guys! I've been waiting a long time to get something like this
John: Yeah the light streaks in the middle are cars along I-25. And the conditions were perfect...no rain! When I've arrived the storm just finished dumping and moved over downtown. In fact when I was taking pictures the skies directly overhead were crystal clear.

I'll be happy to meet you in the parking lot for a little instruction,,,these are awesome!!!! I especially like #1 and the way the six flags roller coaster is lit.
Very cool! I need to start thinking of Denver as a potential shooting location instead always grabbing the camera and running to the hills. Thanks for inspiration
