An Angel's Wings
Another barn owl shot from the other night. I'm really kicking myself about this one, as while the wings and tail are fine, the legs really aren't too sharp - I needed more depth of field. I thought I'd post it as an 'almost' shot, as it was what I had in my head at the time. I just have to hope the opportunity presents itself again!

420mm, 1/8000s (), f4, iso 400

thanks for looking

Love the way the light is coming through those wing and tail feathers. The unsharp legs don't bother me in the slightest, I wouldn't have even noticed if you hadn't mentioned it. I'm undecided about the rear view though.

Thanks Justitn. At this size the legs are fine, but at a larger size the lack of sharpness and detail is a bit disconcerting - especially as they are bang in the middle of the frame! Thanks for the comment

Agree with Justin, really shows the detail and shape to the wings.

I like al the details in this backlight shot (or is it frontlight).
At this size the legs are not disturbing to me.

Its different Billy and its always nice to see something beyond the norm. I may have positioned the bird slightly more of centre perhaps to give it a bit more appeal. :toast:
