The wildflowers around Manhattan are starting to really show up nicely now. This was taken on Wildflower Road near Tuttle Creek Lake. It is open range there so no fences to get in your way (though the cattle do sometime!). I had the added bonus of catching a nice sunset tonight to go along with the wildflowers.

Very nicely done Scott!

Quite a spectacular juxtaposition of flower and sunset.
Given a few seconds to allow my eyes to adjust, I can see that there is some interesting landscape between the two. More might be done to bring out the dark landscape a bit, although I wouldn't want to damage the way that the dark background sets off the flowers.

This is a fine composition Scott and the overall scene is beautiful. It looks a tad dark on my monitor (mid ground at least). I have a feeling that a bit of brightness and contrast would make this jump off the monitor!
Scott, a very nice sunset. I agee that a minor curves adjustment to the foreground could make this even stronger. The flowers really anchor the scene.

Scott, I have to agree with the others. This is a very nice image but a little dark. It probably doesn't help to have it against the white background of this web page. That's probably the way is really looked but not the way our eyes are used to seeing things.
Thanks everyone! I'm in the process of making some test prints of this shot and adjusting the overall brightness and contrast. I think it is going to make a nice print.

Nice work from your backyard.
Hope your poison ivy is getting better.
