Grass snake's reflection
I know a very good place for Grass snakes but didn't quite have the time to take some images. At this time of year there is just so much to do. Mark Hamblin and I decided to have a quick look at the Grass snakes and it turned out to be a very good choise

iso 800 1/250 F5.6 Nikon D3 and 200-400 with 1.4 convertor.

Amazing, I bet that was moving at a good speed, like it, not sure if it needs more DOF.

We don't get many of those round here, very rare indeed, nice to see yours.

Nice one, but I'm afraid I am with Tim here and feel that more DoF would have helped....

Hi edwin another top image,, a little more DOF for me too, but looking at your tech, i imagine you were struggling against the light.

Nits already covered, but perhaps the highest praise I can give is that I wish it were mine!

a little more DOF for me also, but still an excellent shot. Very well taken.

Thanks guys :wavey:

I know about the DOF but the shutterspeed was more important to me at the time. My goal was to at least have the eye in focus so it would have more impact.

I think that's excellent and for me the DoF makes the image and emphasises the eye
