Clouds and Ripples
This is an off the cuff image I took while chatting with Monte the other morning in RMNP. The ripples look much better in the larger version. I'd love to hear your thoughts, good or bad.
I cloned out a few annoying specs on the water.
Thanks,
Paul

I love the clouds and ripple, but the grass divides the shot a bit too much for me, i think there needs to be more of it (or none) to balance the comp.

A fine reflection. The composition works for me as is.
I'd clone out a few more water specks, especially those at the outer edge of the ripple.

This shot made me smile. I even chuckled out loud a little. Pure whimsy. I'm with Stan that the grass is a little awkward, but there needs to be something like that there, maybe just a differently composed/shaped patch of grass. (ilikerunonsentencesdoyou?)

Clouds and ripples, and curlies...I like how the clouds look like they are curling in the upper mid left of the image. Nice colors.

I think this is one of those unique nature shots we all wish we could put together on a recurring basis, but find really hard to accomplish. You did that perfectly here. The comp, the colors, and the moment all combine to make an outstanding photo.
