It's what's for Dinner - Fish
Whilst out watching and shooting Ospreys, this Great Blue Heron was happy to stand around and fish - don't think he even noticed me!.
Canon 20D, 100-400mmL IS, on tripod.

Two more versions below too ;).

Different light, different pose!.

Wow, the differing light makes this look like two different birds! They're both incredible. I like the light and pose in #1, and the reflection in #2.

I love the first one! The reeds make a perfect backdrop.

NIck, nice capture! Really like the colors and crisp image.

Here's one more in similiar light to #1.

Nice job Nick! I like both images, though the light really makes a difference between them.

I much prefer the light in #2. Great reflection.

Nice work, Nick. I love the pose in #1 and the reflection in #2. #1 reminds me a bit of a Japanese painting.

I like the last one you posted, but I also really, really like #2. The reflection and the color of the light is very interesting.

Beautiful work!
The background works so well in showing off this regal bird. The third is my favorite.

Very nice, Nick! I like them all, hard to decide which one I like best. I like the pose in the 1st one, but I love the reflection in the 2nd. Also, I like the color of light better in the 2nd one, too. So I guess my favorite is # 2.

Sweet light on all three, particularly like #3. Well done!

Very cool! They are all wonderful, but # 3 gets my vote.

All are nice, but ill give the nod to #3, i like that pose.

Great shots! I like the light and the reflection in the second image. I also like how you included a lot of the vegetation.

All of them are just fantastic! Wow, the light is sumptuous. And your captures of the poses are brilliant. Just an incredible job, Nick.
