Battered
Taken a couple of weeks ago 14000 feet up in Colorado, This mountain goat was getting battered by the 60MPH+ winds, You can see the ice crystals flying around his feet coming off the snow-Most of the time we where shooting at ground level and had this hitting us straight in the face-like being sand blasted, Going through the images and saw this one-thought it summed up the weather in one-i wont post anymore from the trip,If you want to see some more have a look at the latest post portfolio on my website

Hi dave, these animals must be really tuff living in these conditions. Saw some mountain goats on the side of a cliff on Mull last year but couldn't get anywhere close enough to get a picture. You've certainly nailed this one, perhaps the drama would have been enhanced with some black cloud rolling in to help with the lighting which looks harsh. Small nit though, top shot :toast:

I bet this looks great big, the action is not easy to see at the web pic size, still fine shot.

Don't know how I missed this one sorry Dave.

I can see how the goat feels by his expression, a lovely image considering the harsh conditions!!

Hope you have thawed out by now too ! Was worth braving the cold for..

Hi Dave

the goat is superb, clearly does not look like he's enjoying the high winds, some chips might help
