Black Fox
Got my first shot of a black fox this morning, it wasn't very light so had to be ISO3200! Cool though.

I had never seen one of these before. Didn't even know they existed!
Glad you were able to capture this one. Pretty darned clean for ISO 3200!

I have only seen one before so it's great to get a chance to film them.

What John said. I am truly amazed, Bill. I had no idea such a creature existed in Colorado.

That's the way to be on your toes, Bill!
We used to have a silver fox (aka black fox) roam our neighborhood on almost a daily basis for over 8 months a number of years ago (back in the days of film). Then one day we realized we hadn't seen it in awhile, either it died or its territory was usurped by a different fox.

Great catch! I have NEVER seen one of those.

Have one that lives in the yard across the street from me but have never had a camera handy when I've seen him. He's been there a couple of years. Maybe I should start tracking the time of day I see him out so I can have a camera out and ready.

Wonderful catch, Bill. I hope you have many more sightings.

I haven't see one of those since I was a kid, nice shot! I was lucky enough to have one that lived out where I did in Douglas County, it mated with the red variety and one year they had 6 kits -- half were black. They had a den next door to us, so we spend may evenings watching them from a makeshift blind we made. That particular fox was jet black, only had a white tipped tail. Its a beautiful and rare color for the local foxes -- you should try and tracking this one, might be worthwhile.

Yes, it's actually a red fox, black phase..........and a nice capture.

We've got plenty of fox in my neighborhood, but I've never seen one that looked like that! Way cool, and nice catch. Looks pretty clean for 3200ISO.

Very nice. I have not seen the black phase in quite awhile!
