Had a great workshop yesterday, company was good and most of the shots turned out ok. We had rain on and off throughout the afternoon.
This was taken towards the end of the day when the light was lovely and warm. Only two of us were still photographing and this was one of the last few frames I took. The flying insects and the backlight made this my favorite.
Hi Des, Good to meet you the other day. With regards to this image, I knew this was going good especially with the backlit flies that were around when you took this.
Always the way isn't it, six hours plus photographing different subjects in various weather conditions and it's those last few minutes in the 'Golden' light period that you get the one you wanted. The insects just give it that little 'extra'. Nice one. A pleasure to me you and a few others that were there from the Forum.

I really love this one. For me, you know you've really nailed it when it looks completely natural. Lovely composition and the light is fantastic

Super image Des,kudos to you and Rene for sticking at it.
Great to meet you and the rest of the crew from here .
Well done to Vince for another cracking day despite the conditions .
It was indeed nice to be able to put some names to faces. It was a blast.
Mark - took this when some bloke was trying to put me off, shouting "oi, you on drugs?" at the top of their lungs. Thanks for the rag mate, and yes, the shutter on the D300's still chunking along...
