Shabuskwia Lake
I shot this last week on a fishing trip to Canada. Of the 8 days we spent at the camp, we had 2 days sunshine and six days of clouds and rain. I included the boat in the shot to give a foreground anchor.

50D 1/250 @ f20, ISO 400, 17-35 @ 17

Thanks for looking

Nice scenic photo Merle.

How big was that fish you caught?

Hey Larry, Thanks for looking. We did catch a few fish. My largest was a 34" pike. But, they have a slot limit of 27" to 36" so it had to go back. This shot is of 7 pike we caught. That's me on the left doing my best to hold up the weight.

Nice catch. You let your buddy give you the heavy end of the line.

What a great trip that must have been, Merle. Not only did you catch some nice fish, but had great weather for photography to boot! Thanks for sharing - hope to see some more.

Hey Merle, looks like fun ... rain or shine! You're not going to get too much sympathy from me when I know that I get to go to work again tomorrow!

BTW, impressive sky in the first shot and an impressive stringer in the second! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks all for your comments. I know the location is out of our Central States region, but I thought a little variety would make for more fun in the game. A good time was had by all. We drove 18 hours to Armstrong Station, Ontario, and took a float plane in another 75 miles to the north. Long way in and a long way out - but worth every minute of it. One more thing crossed off of my "Bucket List". :toast:
