Shovel Point
I just got back from a short weekend trip to Tettegouche SP along Minnesota's North Shore of Lake Superior. I was up there primarily to shoot the yellow and pink lady's slippers, but I decided to shoot landscapes one night at twilight and this is what I got. I used ISO 50 to make the exposure longer with the hope that the clouds would streak out in the image, but they were moving too slow.

Comments and critiques welcome!

Thanks,

Ben

I like the mood in this one and what you have done with the water. I might be temped to crop a little from the bottom. The large rock seems to be a little overpowering.

Very moody image, nicely done.

Fantastic!

I really like this. I also think that while the clouds may not be a total blur they look very good. And the foreground-mid ground is perfect.

Man I wish I had been there!!!

This is a very enjoyable photo! Like the cool tones. Something distracting to my eye is some glare off the rock in the mid-ground, left side. Perhaps a layered burn (dodge/burn) would reduce it....

Nice work, I love the blues and the rock layers through the image.

I really like the FG rock here. Very nice composition. It seems a bit underexposed on my monitor, but the details are very nice from FG to BG.
