Kerb crawling Little Owl.
D2X's + 600mm AFS II + 1.4 Conv.
1/90 @ f5.6.
Ex Comp -0.7EV.
ISO: 400.
WB Shade.

Yesterday evening there had been a bit of a down pour.
Found my Little Owl on the road and staring intently at the grass verges. Every now and then he would dive into the verge and I can only assume it was earth worms brought to the surface due to the rainfall. Accompaning him was a very distraught Yellowhammer.
I tried to grab his/her attention to no avail.
I whistled, I squeaked and I even talked but the subject was having none of it.
Taken with the car door open on a bean bag.
Norfolk and its wild.

At least you've had some rain Major - are the pools at Salthouse still dry ?

Thanks for comments and pleased you all saw the funny side. If you could have seen the bird perform you would have laughed as well. I know I did. :wavey:

Nice one Major . You see with age unless your name's Sean Connery attracting a bird is hard going. :toast:

Splendid shot Major, like it very much; was John referring to the birds or the photographers?

   I had to keep my ears to the ground with this one as the road wa wide enough for one car. Every time I had to move so did the Owl of course but within a minute he was back. Great fun really.

I keep coming back to this image over and over and I still don't know what to say that's constructive in any way at all. I have no nits with it, I simply find it a very appealing image indeed, no help at all I'm afraid. But well, there you are.
