I think I have the ID right - not too sharp on moths!

Found on a very walk pleasant walk around Pensthorpe.

C&C welcome

A tad smaller in the frame for me and in an ifdeal world I would have liked the antenna to be more prominent, if only to make the sex of the subject more evident.

Still an excellent capture, well worked and taken.

Really like it Dennis. It just goes to prove that we shouldn't overlook the (brown looking) moths in the Uk. The patterns and subtle tones on this one are super. Well seen and taken :toast:

There's a bit too much contrast in the processing Dennis

Well spotted Dennis and as said until you look you would be amazed at the coluration and patterns on these things. As the crow flies I am about 1.5 miles from Pensthorpe but dont recall this in my moth trap. :toast:

Thanks for the comments - criticisms noted and will hopefully be addressed. I am always unsure how much to crop - especially when the subject is so small.

I'll also have to put my hand and and say that I didn't spot it - the eagle eyed wife did that.
Co-incidently I had one of these in my garden in Norwich on Saturday, unfortunately no so co-operative as it promptly flew next door when I moved a leaf that was obstructing it

Once again thanks for the crits
