Why isn't that one sharp
Couldn't get them all sharp unfortunately, but enjoyed the taking of it.

Nikon D3 300/2.8 @F2.8. ISO 400 EV +0.7 1/6400 Sec.

My first thought re sharpness is DOF as at 1/6400 you should have more than enough shutter speed, I suspect that you could have got away with f4 or even f8, and still had enough shutter speed. But that is really dependant on wind speed and direction at the time. Taking off into a head wind allows you to drop shutter speed accordingly.

A very adventurous shot to have attempted, and it has worked out nicely. Well seen, anticipated and taken. Nice one.

And thats what its all about Mike, the enjoyment of taking it .As Ray said F5.6/8 might have been a better option dropping shutter speed to about 1/1600or800th which would have been enough to freeze things .Nicely spotted scene

I remember this...

Well captured Mike and I know you enjoyed the taking of it too.

One or two dust bunnies to clean up but you can do that when you get home!
