Hi Vince, I wonder is this a big crop as there is a strange noise / artefact clearly visible in the background colours.
Other than that I like the comp and those eyes just grab you.
Thanks for picking this up , I agree also about the strange noise/artifacts in the bg.
This is small crop to frame, I think the noise is either the low heat from todays sun (when it ame out) or from the highish ISO used or combined: The bg distance varies, lower point obviously is around the perch he took off from, the middle bg is about 30ft away & the higher bg is about 100 to 150ft away. Need me tape measure me think Be right back.
Got it 125.75ft
Did anyone pick up the metal screw in the perch Whoops, who put that there
I blame DG to.He can screw anything up!
The noise isn't too distracting but there is a lot . With the D3 the noise is lower at 1000 iso than 640 I have found . Andy A has an explaination for this , buggered if I can remember what it was though I fell asleep at 'the reason is'.
Smart image bud ,them eyes just get you everytime.
Nits already covered Vince but really nice work nonetheless.. All the detail in the eyes just draws you in.. Well captured and making the most of an exercise session is obviously good for the both of you..
