I like the bee and the soft colors, did you try a horizontal shot?

One of the bumble bees, looks like Bombus terrestris to me - but I am no expert. Whatever it is, a fine shot.

Nice capture. Well seen/worked and taken.

nicely captured Major, these don't tend to stay still when they're feeding like this so it's not easy to get them sharp. It might be my eyes (or my monitor) but it looks like there's a slight yellow cast. Still a nicely composed shot.

Hi Major, looks a tad flat on my screen but it may be because you were dealing the harsh light and the white flowers etc..? Superb detail in the Bee however and the overall subject matter is captured very well. They are not easy by any means so again, well done for that.

I've been chasing these around my garden the last few days - sadly not yet got anything as good as this - nicely done.

Agree with Brett in that it is a tad flat. Never the less a very fine image with some very nice detail.

Hi Major, it certainly is a tad better than the original but I feel the colours are still a bit muddy with a slight cast as well. Was this an under exposure to keep the flowers from blowing or very dark conditions maybe..? I'm just guessing as everything else seems to be great.

Looks better Major... I think I would prefer less room atop and more below for this subject, simply because the implied movement is towards bottom right, this would also remove some of the OOF flowers at the top which I don't think are adding to the image...

Points taken Brett & Phil. I think it calls for an eye test. Its long overdue.
If I remeber there was a blue cast originally so I tried to correct it. Must have gone too much the other way.

Many thanks.
