Two ways to skin a cat......
Two ways to skin a cat......what the hell is he on about now?

What I am saying is you can shoot from the road, or do something a little different and hike a high peak to get the shot. Why take the easy road and get the every day shot, live a little and get out there people!

So this time for my little excursion I choose Pacific Peak (near Breckenridge) as my destination. So with only 3.5 hours of sleep in my system Sunday I headed out for another solo misadventure. Just under 4 hours of hoofing it up in them hills and one stupid short couloir with a full pack I was at my camping destination, Pacific Tarn. Which also happens to be the highest official lake in the country. Weather for the trip sun, hale, lightning and a little snow, plus a whole friggin amount of wind!!! Another sleepless night.

Well here are the goods!

I won't even attempt to pick a favorite. Your mountain photography is really incredible, Jody. When I know someone went to great lengths to make a great photo, it makes that photo that much better to me. These are top notch!

What a great set of mountain images!
I especially like the warm light modeling the snow in #3.

Well, unlike Todd im a bit dissapointed, cause i was expecting some pics of you actually 'skinning a cat'. But these mounatain shots are real pretty, I also really like #1 and #4. Nice of you to go without sleep to bring us these awesome shots!

I always enjoy your tales of the sufferfest - almost as much as the images. "Get out there people."

It's a tough call between 2 and 4 (your numbering system started at 2), but I really like the snow lead-in of #4. Great stuff!

Don't you get freaked sometimes about lightning when you're camping so high and exposed? Were you able to find a protected spot to camp?

I think the first one might be my favorite but they're all really good!

Yet another great series Jody. It's hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to it would be #1 too, I like them all though. Your hard work to get these unique angles is really paying off.
