At work last week when the wife called to say that she had found a beautiful moth on the front door. I asked her to pop it into a jar if possible. On returning home I tried to coax it onto a nice leaf for a picture but, being a sensible white moth who wanted to live, it promptly flew onto the light coloured wall of an outbuilding we have in the garden. Took a few pictures before leaving him/her in peace.

Hi Dennis really like it, I think the subtle colour difference works well. Looks a little dark on my screen.
A splendid looking moth... the right hand wing tip seems to be slightly out of the DoF... if you had time perhaps a couple of exposures and then combine them?
Good choice on the framing when the bg isn't great.
A splendid record shot of a really nice Swallowtailed moth (Ourapteryx sambucaria). Very slight nit covered by Phil but well done in the circumstances.
Nice moth Dennis, Your experience reminded me of the one I posted sometime ago.
Put them on the wrong perch and they wont have it.
The Bg here works well.

Thanks for the advice and comments - I've never tried stacking several images - I'll give it a try the next opportunity I get
