A friend of mine was going thru a couple of images I took recently and noticed in PS that there were missing pixels in spots. Little total white spots where color pixillation should be. I bumped my Sony H2 a couple weeks ago, but...

Any ideas what could be causing this?? The fairly simple 6MP camera?? Something being lost in uploading??

She knows quite a bit, and had no explanation or idea why this is happening. Thanks in advance!!!

I've gotten little knots of white pixels from dust and debris on the lens or filters. It could also be that they are dead pixels - some cameras have a re-mapping feature, that will recognize these and fill them in as appropriate for any shot you take. Can you tell if they are in the same place from image to image?

David, great points, first on the dust/debris. Bet that is it.

I just looked at two images this afternoon, and didn't notice the "white out" in the same spots. I'll pass your thoughts onto my friend who is a PS whiz and check it out. Thanks very much!! :toast:
